LIFESUPPORT FAMILY ENRICHMENT PROGRAM SPECIALIST

The Children’s Cancer Association (CCA) is a progressive nonprofit organization seeking a LifeSupport Family Enrichment Program Specialist to join our dynamic team.  Founded in 1995, CCA offers award-winning programs, along with information, advocacy and support that help enrich the quality of life for seriously ill children and their families. 

The LifeSupport Family Enrichment Program Specialist will provide administrative support to the program in the area of wishes, family support, holiday families, grief and bereavement, family resources and community outreach.

Core Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative program assistance:  maintaining individual wish and family support paper files, updating and maintaining program database, tracking dollar and in-kind donations, manage program donor thank you process, maintain local resource guide and conduct internet research.
  • Assist with all aspects of management for the holiday family program.
  • Assist with management of wishes and family support services.  Procure in-kind donations from established donors.
  • Provide Spanish translation both orally and in writing for wish families, holiday families, grief and bereavement, referrals to other CCA programs, local resources and family support services.

Experience Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience working in an office environment, nonprofit preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree; social worker related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Exemplary customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency in MS Outlook, Word and Excel as well as knowledge of office equipment.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage time, adhere to deadlines and be detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a poised, caring team player with a sense of humor.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills, both orally and in writing, required.
