Caring Cabin™

Providing a magical family getaway

In the midst of the indescribable challenges and heartache associated with facing a life-threatening illness, children and their loved ones need a place where they can rest and be a family together. The Alexandra Ellis Caring Cabin™ is a beautiful secluded retreat home built solely for this purpose - accommodating seriously ill children and their families for getaways at absolutely no cost.

The only retreat home of its kind in the Western United States, the Caring Cabin is a truly magical retreat home, featured in the American Institute of Architects Journal for its beautiful modern design and located by a private lake on 24 wooded acres and just minutes from the beach in Pacific City, Oregon. Custom-designed to accommodate the medical needs of sick kids, the cabin can lodge up to 12 friends and families members for a cherished escape from the pokes and pinpricks of the hospital environment.

Whether families spend a summer weekend canoeing on the lake or enjoy a rainy winter day by the cozy stone fireplace, the Caring Cabin allows families to sink into the comfort and beauty of a one-of-a-kind retreat home and make precious memories together.
